HERRINGBONE WOOD FLOORS
Herringbone wooden floors are an iconic and versatile format. For the Herringbone line, Foglie d’Oro offers an installation at a 90° angle, which gives the environment rhythm and precision with its orthogonal geometries. Available in a wide range of colours (the natural hues of wood, the elegant smoky greys, the darker and more absolute tones) and customizable on request, it also comes in an antique finish.
The Chevron wooden floor installed at a 45° angle, also known as Hungarian point or French herringbone is an important and ever-present element in the history of European interior architecture. Chosen for centuries to cover the rooms in villas and elegant country houses, it is now proposed once again by Foglie d'Oro, in a range of finishes which can even suit apartments and houses of contemporary design.
Maxi Chevron, with its 170 cm (67”) pieces, creates an airy, enveloping design in the settings it is laid in, and is designed to bring the typical herringbone pattern into particularly large spaces, such as the entrances and reception rooms of villas and country residences, or large halls in metropolitan settings. A more creative, yet rigorous, interpretation of the herringbone pattern characterizes the floors in the Miraggi and Jazz ranges: natural evolution of the traditional design, with its serial angles and joints, these two solutions help bring a decidedly contemporary allure to settings. All the Foglie d’Oro pre-finished three-layer floors, in both the classic and more contemporary patterns, are available in a large variety of finishes, and can be customized to suit the living spaces they are destined to complement.
